Job summary

Raytheon’s Air & Space Defense Systems Requirements and Capabilities (R&C) team seeks an Associate Director for Strategic and National Space Systems (SNSS) to drive new business growth within the MSP sub‑strategic unit. This role will oversee a multi‑billion dollar pipeline, shaping market engagement and pursuing opportunities across sensing payloads and space systems.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, develop win strategies, and partner with internal and external customers to influence

Qualifications

University degree or equivalent experience with 12+ years in space industry; advanced degree with 10+ years preferred.
Five+ years leading business development pursuits, acquisitions, or cross-functional programs over $50M.
Experience with U.S. Space Force/Space Command/Space Systems Command and related agencies.
Experience delivering white papers, proposal elements, and executive briefings.
Familiarity with U.S. Government acquisition and planning processes; interface with SSF/IC customers.

Responsibilities

Lead new business lifecycle for Space System sensing opportunities from inception to startup.
Create win strategies highlighting differentiators and value propositions.
Drive early customer engagement to shape requirements and acquisition strategies.
Coordinate with program managers, chief engineers, and finance for high-quality inputs.
Manage resources, staffing, budgets, and IRAD/CAPEX plans with Technical Directors.
Prepare presentations and white papers for customers and stakeholders.
