Job summary

Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director for Strategic and National Space Systems to lead new business growth in support of the MSP unit. The role will manage a multi‑billion dollar pipeline and drive market engagement and growth across the MSP portfolio.

The position requires 12+ years in space, leadership in business development, and experience with U.S. government programs; travel is ~25–33% domestically, with potential work locations in VA/Dulles or Arlington or CO/Aurora.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in space industry in technical or programmatic roles.
• 5+ years leading space market business development and multi-million pursuits.
• Experience with U.S. Space Force/Space Command/Space Systems Command/Space Development Agency/ NRO.
• Experience with white papers, proposals, and executive briefings.
• Experience with U.S. Government acquisition processes and interfaces with USSF/IC customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead new business lifecycle for strategic space system sensing opportunities.
• Create win strategies highlighting differentiators and value propositions.
• Drive customer engagement to shape requirements and acquisition strategies.
• Coordinate across programs, engineering, finance and management levels.
• Manage resources including staffing and budgets; coordinate with IRAD/CAPEX plans.
• Deliver presentations and white papers to customers and stakeholders.
