Job summary

Merck, a global healthcare science company, seeks an experienced ServiceNow Quality Engineering leader to guide testing across ITSM, ITOM, ITIL/IRM processes in a hybrid West Point setting. You will drive automation, data validation, and QA strategy with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes developing automated QA capabilities, mentoring junior testers, and delivering robust test plans for major upgrades, ensuring high-quality software releases in a dynamic corporate IT environment.

Qualifications

12+ years of experience creating, executing, and managing testing efforts.
Automated Test Framework experience required; AutomatePro knowledge highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of ITIL processes and IT Service Management practices.
Excellent organizational and time management to handle multiple projects.
Understanding of Agile development methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

Define and drive testing roadmap and QA standards across ServiceNow modules.
Create detailed test plans and coordinate unit, SIT, regression, and UAT tests.
Validate configurations and integrations before updates in Production during upgrades.
Develop a maturity roadmap to shift Testing to Quality Engineering with AI capabilities.
Lead defect triage, analyze root causes, and collaborate with Developers and POs.
Build and scale automated test suites using AutomatePro and ServiceNow ATF.
Perform data validation in CMDB and ensure data transforms during migrations.
Establish KPIs and provide data-driven release readiness insights.
