Job summary

Travere Therapeutics seeks an Associate Director, Search and Evaluation to lead external innovation assessment for potential in-licensing, acquisitions, or collaborations in rare diseases. You will work with scientific leaders to define strategies and prioritize opportunities.

You will conduct rigorous evaluations, participate in diligence, contracting, and integration, and help advance Travere’s leadership in nephrology and related fields. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant scientific experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries with a focus on business development, search and evaluation, or similar roles.
• Strong scientific acumen and ability to interpret complex data and clinical findings.
• Proven track record of successful evaluation and in-licensing of biopharma assets.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally.
• Knowledge and experience in rare diseases, immunology, nephrology, or metabolic diseases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Travere’s scientific leaders to define and implement scientific strategy for external sources of innovation in specialty nephrology, rare metabolic and rare disease areas.
• Identify leads and source new Business Development opportunities aligned with scientific and business objectives.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of potential in-licensing, acquisition, or collaboration opportunities.
• Serve as a key member of the cross-functional deal team through diligence, negotiation, contract execution and integration.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the biopharma community.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to inform search strategies.
• Leverage multiple information sources to identify promising assets and external opportunities.
