Job summary

Travere Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare diseases, is seeking an Associate Director, Search and Evaluation to lead external sourcing and assessment of in-licensing, acquisitions, or collaborations from scientific leaders.

You will work with Travere's experts to prioritize opportunities, participate in diligence and contracting, and help advance the company's leadership in rare diseases. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant scientific experience in biotech/pharma focused on business development/search and evaluation.
• Strong scientific acumen and ability to interpret complex data and clinical findings.
• Proven track record of successful evaluation and in-licensing of biopharma assets.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Knowledge in rare diseases, immunology, nephrology, or metabolic diseases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientific leaders to define and implement external sourcing strategy for nephrology, rare metabolic and rare disease.
• Identify leads and source BD opportunities aligned with scientific and business objectives.
• Conduct thorough scientific evaluations for in-licensing, acquisition, or collaborations.
• Serve on cross-functional deal teams through diligence, negotiation, contract execution and integration.
• Build and maintain relationships with researchers, industry experts, and potential partners.
• Monitor industry trends and technologies to inform search strategies and evaluations.
• Use multiple sources to identify assets and external opportunities.
