Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related discipline required.
• Advanced degree preferred (PhD/MD/PharmD/MBA).
• 8+ years of relevant scientific experience in biotech/pharma with BD, search & evaluation focus.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement scientific strategy for external sources of innovation in nephrology, rare metabolic and rare disease areas.
• Identify leads and source new BD opportunities aligned with scientific and business goals.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of in-licensing, acquisitions, or collaborations.
• Serve on cross-functional deal teams through diligence, negotiation, contracting, and integration.
• Build and maintain relationships with researchers, industry experts, and potential partners.
• Stay informed on industry trends to inform search strategies and evaluations.
• Leverage publications, conferences, and databases to identify assets.
