Job summary

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Associate Director Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on a major capital construction program near Cincinnati, Ohio. This site-based role requires strategic commercial leadership and strong liaison with client and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related construction field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry.
• RICS accredited or working toward accreditation preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects of moderate to high complexity.
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing, life sciences, technology, industrial, or commercial construction projects is preferred.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a client-facing environment while managing multiple priorities and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management team and deliver on all accountabilities.
• Interface with client, stakeholders, and consultants at all stages.
• Maintain excellent communication with client and consultants.
• Perform quantity surveying, cost controls and change management.
• Coordinate internal BMS, reporting on commercial status and KPI.
• Develop procurement strategies and risk mitigation plans.
