Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Associate Director Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on a major capital construction program in Ohio. This on-site role requires strong leadership, client-facing skills and the ability to manage stakeholders and project controls throughout the lifecycle.

The base salary range is $165,000-$185,000 USD, with potential bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field.
• 5-7+ years in cost management in construction.
• RICS accredited or pursuing accreditation preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects with moderate to high complexity.
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing, life sciences, technology, industrial, or commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a client-facing environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management on a major capital construction program and manage a cost management team.
• Interface with client, stakeholders and other consultants at all project stages.
• Maintain clear communication with client and consultants across project phases.
• Perform quantity surveying, cost controls and change management throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate with general contractor, owner's representatives and external stakeholders.
• Oversee strategic and operational management of Cost Management and Project Controls on large-scale programs.
• Act as the first point of contact for reporting on overall commercial status of a project.
• Drive best practice in cost management, procurement and reporting at all stages.
