Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a senior training leader to develop and execute field training programs for our Psychiatry portfolio and related commercial teams. You will partner with franchise leaders to translate strategy into curricula, deliver engaging workshops, and drive measurable outcomes across national and regional meetings.

The role emphasizes learner-centric design, program evaluation, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration with marketing and field leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales experience preferred.
  • Experience leading training initiatives in a pharmaceutical environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of field training programs for Alkermes’ Psychiatry portfolio and commercial field teams.
  • Partner with franchise/department leaders to translate business strategy into curriculum/workshop design and development.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs for field representatives, account managers, and field management.
  • Ensure learner-first focus in all curricula/workshops.
  • Review workshop objectives against business strategy and recommend outcomes.
  • Organize, facilitate, and continually improve field training programs and meetings.
  • Develop and conduct training on disease states, products, marketplaces, and contextual selling skills.
  • Coach learning managers on facilitation techniques.
  • Lead internal departmental projects and deliver impactful presentations to leaders.
  • Identify training requirements with marketing and field leadership and create programs.
  • Understand CCC process, serve as content-owner, shepherd content to approval, and resolve issues.
  • Lead vendor/contract management including vendor reviews and SOW/PO generation.
  • Establish stakeholder relationships and lead cross-functional meetings.
  • Manage franchise budget and travel/expense allocations.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Lead development of field training programs for Alkermes’ Psychiatry portfolio and commercial field teams.
  • Partner with franchise/department leaders to translate business strategy into curriculum/workshop design and development.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs, curricula, and materials for field representatives, account managers, and field management.
  • Ensure learner-first focus in all curricula/workshops.
  • Review workshop objectives against business strategy; recommend for desired outcomes.
  • Organize, facilitate, and continually improve field training programs, meetings (National & Regional), and delivery of new materials.
  • Develop and conduct training on disease states, products, marketplaces, and contextual selling skills for varied audiences.
  • Coach commercial field learning managers on facilitation techniques.
  • Lead internal departmental projects; prepare and deliver impactful presentations to leaders.
  • Proactively partner with marketing, field leadership, and stakeholders to identify training requirements and create programs.
  • Support Copy Clearance Committee (CCC): understand CCC process, serve as content-owner, shepherd content to approval, and resolve/ascalate issues.
  • Lead vendor/contract management: partner on vendor reviews, manage vendor projects, timelines, deliverables, and SOW/PO generation.
  • Establish stakeholder relationships; lead/collaborate in team and cross-functional meetings.
  • Manage franchise budget and assigned travel/expense and project-based budgets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales experience.
Preferred skills
  • Prior training experience; experience selling injectables/physician-administered treatments in challenging reimbursement; Psychiatry/Addiction market experience.
  • Experience leading direct reports; building/executing training programs.
  • Ability to use technology to engage field groups; sales success; project leadership; initiative/ownership; independent work.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills; deep sales/process knowledge.
  • Adaptability; proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Travel: up to 60%.

Compensation/Benefits: base salary $162k–$185k plus annual performance bonus; competitive benefits package.
