Job summary

St. Anne's-Belfield School in Charlottesville, VA, seeks an Associate Director of College Counseling to join its Office of College Counseling. This 10-month faculty role guides students and families through the college process and reports to the Director of College Counseling, with start date January 4, 2027.

You will build relationships, design programs, advise on four-year planning, and craft recommendations while engaging in professional development with SACAC, NACAC, and ACCIS.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in selective college admissions or college counseling in independent schools.
• Strong knowledge of college admissions landscape and financial aid.
• Equity-centered mindset and commitment to inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with students and families across four high school years.
• Design and lead signature college counseling programs.
• Provide academic planning and course guidance.
• Develop individualized college lists reflecting fit.
• Write compelling letters of recommendation.
