Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an Associate Director to lead Epic coding operations within the Enterprise Revenue Cycle, focusing on accurate charge capture and compliant claim submission. You will direct coding teams, coach staff, and drive process improvements in a large hospital setting.

With deep ICD/CPT/HCPCS expertise and strong leadership, you will ensure adherence to coding guidelines and regulatory requirements, while collaborating with clinic/hospital leadership to optimize revenue cycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• 7+ years coding experience with ICD, CPT and HCPCS in large clinic/hospital.
• 1 year of progressive leadership experience in high-volume healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Manages Epic coding functions to ensure compliant claim submissions.
• Oversees coding staff development, performance reviews, and staffing decisions.
• Drives production coding process improvements and standardizes practices.
• Identifies coding/billing issues, trends, and resolutions.
• Educates leadership and clinicians on CPT/ICD/HPCS guidelines and changes.
• Collaborates with coding leadership to research and resolve issues.
