Job summary

Ransom Everglades School, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director of Security to lead campus safety efforts for the Upper and Middle Schools in Miami. The role oversees security systems, contracts, and safety compliance, while coordinating events, traffic, and parking logistics.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, 8–10 years of security facilities management, 5 years in law enforcement or military, and proficiency in Excel/Word. English fluency is required; Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
• 8–10 years of experience managing security facilities of a similar size.
• Minimum 5 years of prior Law Enforcement or Military Experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• English proficiency required; Spanish is preferred.
• Holding and maintaining a firearm license (D and G) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining, updating, and implementing the School Emergency Operations Plan (SEOP).
• Oversee school security, access control and video management systems.
• Serve as contact with security and safety monitoring contractors.
• Coordinate access for special events and rentals.
• Arrange repairs, purchases, renovations, and maintenance for security assets.
• Plan and oversee upgrades of security and monitoring systems.
• Coordinate School Life Safety Systems (Fire and Crisis alarms).
• Oversee service contracts and maintenance of equipment; maintain records.
• Participate in upgrades to school life safety systems.
• Perform regular safety/OSHA inspections with the Director of Facilities.
• Manage security for US and MS campuses, including guard services.
