Job summary

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) seeks an Associate Director for the Automated Safety Camera (ASC) Division to lead operations, oversight, and strategic implementation of the ASC program across cameras and school bus stop-arm safety.

The role requires strong management, contracting oversight, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring compliance with regulations, with a focus on safety, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate and Graduate Education in business, engineering, or related fields preferred.
• Specialized experience in transportation or program management is valued.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing contracts is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ASC program operations including camera deployment and rotation.
• Act as contracting officer and technical review officer for ASC, coordinating with OCP.
• Manage budget, staff performance, and cross-agency relations to meet program goals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and provide leadership to the team.
