The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites applications for a Transportation Engineer to join the Multimodal Project Delivery Division. You will manage corridor or intersection projects from concept through construction handoff, focusing on safety countermeasures and multimodal operations to reduce injuries and crashes in DC.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
Combination of education and experience in engineering concepts and applications.

Responsibilities

Advises management on advanced traffic engineering matters.
Leads corridor/intersection projects from concept through construction handoff.
Performs safety analyses, traffic studies, warrants and TCP reviews.
Coordinates with internal teams, external stakeholders, and elected officials.
Generates plans, specifications, estimates for traffic signal systems and controls.
