Job summary

R&R Contracting Utilities, Inc. is seeking ATSSA-certified Traffic Control Managers to oversee work zone safety, crew deployment, and DOT compliance on highway and road projects in the DC area.

You will plan, set up, and manage operations per MUTCD standards, supervise crews, coordinate with general contractor superintendents, and ensure signage and lighting meet regulations. This full-time role offers year-round traffic control projects, company-provided equipment, overtime opportunities,

Qualifications

• ATSSA certification required.
• 3+ years of traffic control or work zone management experience.
• Knowledge of MUTCD standards and state DOT traffic control regulations.
• Experience supervising crews of 5+ workers.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Night work and weekend availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, set up, and manage traffic control operations per MUTCD and state DOT standards.
• Supervise flagging crews and traffic control technicians on site.
• Coordinate with general contractor superintendents on lane closure schedules.
• Ensure all signage, barriers, channelizing devices, and lighting meet compliance requirements.
• Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and monitor work zone safety throughout the day.
• Manage equipment inventory, deployment, and maintenance.
• Document daily traffic control activities and submit reports.
