Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director for Digital Operations Agentic Intelligence in the US. You will lead the design and governance of intelligent agents and AI-enabled workflows, building scalable data foundations and reusable data products for AI readiness across DSCS.

You will coach teams, set technical directions, and partner with business leaders to drive adoption and measurable value, while ensuring governance, security, and compliant deployment across domains.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering, software development, BI, data science, AI/ML, or related field, with leadership experience.
• Hands-on Python and SQL; able to architect and review data solutions and code.
• Deep knowledge of data pipelines, modeling, quality, and semantic layers in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct design, delivery, and governance of intelligent agents and AI-enabled workflows.
• Set data foundations and reusable data products enabling AI readiness across DSCS.
• Lead standardization, CI/CD and governance practices for scalable solutions.
• Mentor engineers and analysts, raising capability across the team.
• Partner with business leaders to drive adoption and demonstrate value realized.
