Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Specialist, Digital Operations Agentic Intelligence to advance governed data products, intelligent agents, and AI-enabled automation within its DSCS Digital Technologies group.

The role focuses on building data pipelines, AI-ready foundations, and enterprise-grade dashboards across tools like Python, SQL, Databricks, Dataverse, and Power BI. The successful candidate will contribute to design, testing, and operational deployment of agents and data products, following

Qualifications

2+ years in data engineering, software development, or related technical role.
Strong programming in Python and SQL for data transformation, analysis, automation, and reporting.
Experience with Databricks, Dataverse, cloud data platforms or comparable environments.
Exposure to Generative AI / LLM concepts and AI-enabled automation.
Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.

Responsibilities

Develop AI-ready data foundations, data pipelines, and semantic layers.
Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and automated workflows.
Translate business needs into technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
Apply Git-based version control, documentation, and reusable templates.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
