Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment in hyperscale and enterprise data centers. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in staging, cabling, labeling, and documentation, building knowledge of industry best practices with experienced colleagues.

The role involves rack preparation, MACD tasks, and routine inspections under senior guidance, emphasizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of computer hardware, telecommunications equipment, networking, or data center infrastructure.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling concepts is a plus.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and follow detailed work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment, consumables, and cabling in designated areas.
• Perform basic inventory checks against packing lists and update inventory tracking systems.
• Assist with rack positioning, leveling, and physical preparation under supervision.
• Install rack accessories such as cable managers, blanking panels, and pre-configured PDUs.
• Support rack-and-stack activities by lifting, aligning, and securing equipment per procedures.
• Perform routine MACD activities under guidance of senior team members.
