Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of PBM contracts and related legal requirements across vendor obligations, performance guarantees, data, audits, and reporting.
• Provide practical, legally supportable guidance to business partners on PBM contractual interpretations and compliance.
• Advise on PBM regulatory requirements including privacy, data use, transparency, claims administration, and vendor performance.
• Serve as legal counsel supporting Blue Cross NC's PBM business and the State Health Plan contract administration.
• Support responses to audits, regulatory inquiries, and public records requests; protect trade secrets and sensitive information.
• Monitor developments in health care law, PBM regulations, and government health programs; communicate implications to stakeholders.
