Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an Associate Counsel to support PBM services, including State Health Plan matters. The role intersects health care, pharmacy benefit administration, government programs, and public procurement, requiring strong command of federal and state laws impacting PBM operations.

You will partner with pharmacy, compliance, operations, data, finance, and vendor management teams to ensure contractual compliance and provide timely legal guidance across PBM activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited law school required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of PBM contracts and related legal requirements.
• Review PBM materials and provide legally sound guidance to business partners.
• Advise on interpretation and application of PBM contractual requirements for PBM governance and compliance.
• Support administration of State Health Plan PBM contract and related initiatives.
• Advise on privacy, data governance, and regulatory obligations as they relate to PBM services.
