Blue Cross NC is seeking an Associate Counsel to support PBM services, including State Health Plan administration. The role requires strong knowledge of health care and pharmacy benefit laws, with collaboration across pharmacy, compliance, operations, data, and finance teams.

You will advise on PBM contractual requirements, data use, privacy, and vendor performance, while helping manage legal risk and provide actionable guidance to senior leaders and stakeholders.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited law school required.
• 3+ years of experience in related field.
• Licensed to practice law

Responsabilidades

• Develop and monitor PBM contracts and related legal requirements including vendor obligations and audit rights.
• Review PBM materials and provide practical, legally supportable guidance to business partners.
• Advise on interpretation and application of PBM requirements for pharmacy benefit administration, pricing, reporting, and vendor performance.
• Serve as legal counsel supporting Blue Cross NC's PBM business, including State Health Plan PBM contract administration.
• Advise on privacy, data governance, confidentiality, and information-sharing requirements for PBM services and Plan operations.
• Support implementation and administration of PBM initiatives, vendor integrations, and member communications.
• Assist with responses to audits, regulatory requests, and confidential information handling.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting PBM and government health programs and communicate implications to stakeholders.
• Provide training to business partners on legal, regulatory, contractual, and compliance topics.
• Provide support on developing legal issues and perform other duties as assigned.
