Job summary

Motion Industries, Atlanta, GA, seeks an Associate Counsel to draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts and real estate lease agreements. The role sits in the Legal department and reports to the VP - Legal.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable in a dynamic public company environment. The role requires JD, State Bar of Georgia membership (or waiver), and at least 5 years of experience in commercial contracts and leasing.

Qualifications

• JD and Georgia Bar admission; broad commercial contract experience.
• Experience drafting and negotiating real estate leases and procurement agreements.
• Minimum of 5 years’ practice in law firm or corporate legal department.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including corporate, procurement, vendor, and service agreements.
• Manage full contract lifecycle from drafting to renewal.
• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate lease agreements, including renewals and amendments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and outside counsel on lease and related matters.
• Advise VP - Legal and senior management on contract and lease issues.
• Coordinate with landlords and outside counsel as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of contracts, leases, and related documents.
