Job summary

Urban Outfitters Men’s is seeking an Associate Buyer to support our Private Label Woven Shirts and Jackets line. You will drive sales and profitability by developing trend-right assortments and managing growth opportunities within the customer base.

Key responsibilities include Open-To-Buy management, vendor relations, and collaborative product development with design to ensure timely, profitable receipts and balanced inventory across categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in fashion, business, or related field.
• 3 years in retail or direct buying office with Associate Buyer or senior-level assistant experience.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of Open-To-Buy (OTB).

Responsibilities

• Understand target customer and select appropriate product/trend.
• Translate new ideas from blogs, street, and aspirational sources with design.
• Manage Open-To-Buy (OTB) and retail math to meet financial goals.
• Communicate effectively with stores and internal teams.
• Prioritize tasks to balance immediate and long-term needs.
• Collaborate with Buyer/Planner on plans to optimize sales and margins.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely receipts and inventory position.
• Assist in selecting new products for e-commerce and category extensions.
• Work with designers on product development and fittings to standardize sizing.
