Job summary

Urban Outfitters is seeking a Buyer for Women\'s Sweaters and Woven Tops to create a timely, profitable product assortment and drive category growth. You will translate market trends and customer feedback into action, guiding the strategy, planning, and collaboration across teams for multi-channel success.

You will lead the buying team, oversee the private label process where applicable, and negotiate terms to hit margin goals while shaping compelling stories for web, emails, and stores.

Qualifications

• 5+ years buying experience required; preferably in Sweaters + Wovens categories.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a business.
• Be able to own, articulate, and execute a clear vision.

Responsibilities

• Develop a compelling assortment based on store and direct strategies to meet/exceed sales and profits.
• Expand product line to enhance appeal to target market.
• Analyze velocity reports and respond to trends as appropriate.
• Ensure key fashion trends are represented and test new ideas for selling viability.
• Oversee inventory levels and flow across channels.
• Develop new resources and design collaborations; manage artist relationships.
• Negotiate price to insure mark-up goals are achieved.
• Collaborate with Merchandising to develop strong web, email, and store storytelling.
• Lead weekly velocity analysis, OTB, markdowns, and inventory planning.
• Conduct monthly and post-season analyses to optimize profitability.
