Job summary

Urban Outfitters is seeking a Senior Designer (Wovens) to join our Men’s Design Team. The Senior Designer will lead woven tops, bottoms, denim and outerwear, partnering with Buying, Product Development, and Print + Color to drive seasonal vision and respond to business trends in real time.

They will mentor Associate and Assistant Designers, guide the full design process from concept to presentation, and optimize workflows while maintaining timelines and brand aesthetics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience in fashion is preferred.
• Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design or related area strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fashion trends, customer behavior, and brand vision.
• Ability to balance creativity with business acumen and margins.
• Leadership skills: mentoring, feedback, coaching, and team development.
• Strong hand and digital sketching ability.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Tradestone BOM maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute presentation materials for seasonal meetings.
• Drive execution of individual styles and brand collections.
• Analyze sales data to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to respond to trends.
• Approve and provide feedback on sample development prior to finalization.
• Lead and mentor Associate and Assistant Designers.
• Manage design calendar and ensure timely delivery.
• Visualize total design process and implement process improvements.
