Job summary

URBN Urban Outfitters, Inc. seeks an Associate Business Analyst to support data-driven decisions across our retail subscription business. You will partner with Buying and Planning to enhance reporting, drive cross-functional efficiency, and translate complex data into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate has strong analytics, Excel proficiency, and experience with BI tools, with exposure to SQL. You will contribute to KPI analysis, documentation, and training materials for planning systems

Qualifications

Strong analytical and critical thinking with exceptional attention to detail.
Retail analytics/AD-hoc reporting experience preferred to support operational or buying/planning teams.
Proficiency in Excel; experience with BI/data visualization tools; familiarity with SQL or willingness to learn programming.
Curious, proactive, and eager to learn new systems while troubleshooting technical issues.

Responsibilities

Partner with Buying and Planning teams to understand workflows, identify efficiency opportunities, and resolve reporting or system issues with meticulous data handling.
Support business-critical initiatives through ad hoc analysis, dashboard development, and data investigation using Excel, Google Sheets, BI tools (e.g., Looker, BigQuery), and planning systems (e.g., o9).
Develop and maintain knowledge of buying, planning, and inventory KPIs to support decision-making with critical thinking.
Maintain and update documentation, SOPs, and training materials for planning and reporting tools.
Monitor KPIs and audit data for accuracy and reliability.
