Job summary

Lerch Bates seeks an Associate Building Enclosure Consultant to join our Building Science team. This role develops technical expertise in building enclosure consulting, project management, and client services while progressing toward an independent consultant role.

You will work with experienced consultants on projects involving both new construction and existing buildings, gaining hands-on experience in field testing, design review, report writing, and client communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural Eng, Construction Management, Architecture, Building Science or related discipline preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or building science preferred.
• Experience with building envelope systems, field inspections, and performance testing is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical knowledge through hands-on training and mentorship from experienced Consultants.
• Support building envelope projects for both new construction and existing buildings.
• Assist with proposal development, project planning, design review, field observations, testing, and client meetings.
