Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Arkansas practice. This role involves handling a diverse caseload related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters. The position is remote but requires in-person attendance for court proceedings. Candidates must reside in Arkansas, as the primary residence is a must, and communication with our main office in New York will be primarily via telephone and electronic means (email, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Maintaining and managing a heavy and diverse caseload of clients in Arkansas.
2. Communicating with clients regarding their legal matters.
3. Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and reviewing or drafting agreements.
4. Engaging with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
5. Conducting legal research on issues related to contract law and other areas of consumer law.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in drafting legal documents such as pleadings and memoranda, strong organizational skills, and willingness to handle a heavy workload.
2. Must be admitted to practice law in Arkansas; multi-state admission is a plus.
3. At least 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
4. Strong legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.
