Job Description

Location: Candidates must reside in Pennsylvania - N/E part of the state (Wilkes Barre/Easton). This is a full-time, remote position with in-person court attendance required. Communication with the main office, located in New York, will be exclusively via telephone and electronic means (email, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to handle a broad range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters. Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing a heavy and diversified caseload of clients in Pennsylvania.
  2. Communicating with clients regarding their cases.
  3. Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing and drafting agreements.
  4. Negotiating and communicating with opposing parties to resolve claims.
  5. Conducting legal research on contract law and other consumer law issues.
Qualifications
  • Experience in drafting legal documents such as pleadings and memoranda.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle a heavy workload.
  • Currently admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania (multiple-state admission is a plus).
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant law firm experience.
  • Legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.
