California Accident Firm, APC in Los Angeles seeks an Associate Attorney to join our plaintiff personal injury team. You will manage an active caseload with mentorship from a Senior Trial Attorney, handling cases from discovery through trial preparation.

Recent law graduates and early-career attorneys are encouraged to apply; we invest heavily in training. The role is on-site in Encino/LA with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of personal injury litigation experience.
• Active California Bar License in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong time management and ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of personal injury matters with guidance from a Senior Trial Attorney.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, experts, and witnesses.
• Draft and respond to motions and oppositions, including Motions for Summary Judgment/Adjudication, Demurrers, and discovery motions.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Draft complaints ranging from routine motor vehicle cases to more complex premises liability and assault matters.
• Conduct legal research and handle law and motion practice.
• Assist with settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Assist with trial preparation, including Motions in Limine, jury instructions, and special verdict forms.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties.
• Meet all court-imposed and internal deadlines.

We're looking for a motivated Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. You'll manage an active caseload with the direct support and mentorship of a Senior Trial Attorney, gaining hands-on experience across the full litigation lifecycle — from discovery through trial prep. Recent law school graduates and attorneys early in their PI career are encouraged to apply; we invest heavily in training our associates.

What You'll Do

• Manage an active caseload of personal injury matters — motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and related claims — with guidance from a Senior Trial Attorney
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, experts, and witnesses
• Draft and respond to motions and oppositions, including Motions for Summary Judgment/Adjudication, Demurrers, and discovery motions
• Propound and respond to written discovery
• Draft complaints ranging from routine motor vehicle cases to more complex premises liability and assault matters
• Conduct legal research and handle law and motion practice
• Assist with settlement negotiations and mediations

What We're Looking For

• 0–3 years of personal injury litigation experience (new admittees welcome)
• Active California Bar License, in good standing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple cases and deadlinesComfortable working independently as well as collaboratively on a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat DC

Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $90,000 – $130,000 per year, depending on experience
