Job summary

Lederer & Nojima, LLP seeks an Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of legal experience for its plaintiff personal injury and employment practice on the Westside of Los Angeles. You will take ownership of cases, develop trial skills, and gain hands-on experience from case inception through jury verdict.

Ideal candidates are motivated, personable, organized, and ready to try cases. This is a full-time, in-person position with opportunities to handle depositions, pleadings, and trial work.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of attorney experience required.
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Personal injury experience strongly preferred; at least one year of PI experience is preferred.
• Experience taking and defending depositions; pleadings and motions experience.
• Trial preparation and exhibit/witness handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of cases and develop as a trial lawyer from inception to verdict.
• Prepare and try cases with real opportunities to sit first chair.
• Communicate directly with clients and coordinate with team to move cases toward resolution or trial.

Associate Attorney – Plaintiff Personal Injury

A busy Westside Los Angeles plaintiff-side Personal Injury and Employment firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of legal experience who is ready to take ownership of cases, develop as a trial lawyer, and gain hands-on experience from case inception through jury verdict.

Our associates receive real opportunities to prepare and try cases. Recent attorneys who joined us from large firms, defense practices, and other personal injury firms have first-chaired multiple jury trials within their first few years at the firm. If you are looking for greater responsibility, client contact, courtroom experience, and the opportunity to build your trial skills, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of attorney experience required
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
• Personal injury experience strongly preferred; at least one year of PI experience is preferred
• Plaintiff-side, defense, Big Law, and lateral personal injury attorneys are encouraged to apply
• Experience taking and defending depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Experience preparing pleadings and handling law and motion matters
• Experience propounding and responding to written discovery
• Experience with mediations, arbitrations, settlement proceedings, and case resolution
• Trial preparation experience is a plus, including:
• Trial deadlines and trial binders
• Jury instructions and verdict forms
• Motions in limine
• Expert designations and expert depositions
• Exhibit and witness lists

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $110,000–$150,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and background.
