Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Ohio or eligible for prompt admission.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sharp judgment, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to listen and earn clients’ trust.

Responsibilities

• Represent employees in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, FMLA, wage and overtime, and other employment claims.
• Meet directly with clients, evaluate claims, and provide practical legal advice.
• Develop case strategy and take ownership of moving cases forward.
• Draft EEOC and state agency charges, demand letters, pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Negotiate directly with opposing counsel and participate in mediations and settlement conferences.
• Advocate for clients before EEOC and state agencies.
• Conduct discovery, analyze evidence, brief legal issues, and prepare cases for trial.
• Work closely with experienced trial attorneys while taking on increasing responsibility.
