Job summary

Zwicker & Associates, P.C. in Glendale, CA seeks an Associate Attorney eager to learn and able to manage a large caseload.

Excellent organization and communication skills are required to draft pleadings, handle discovery, and advocate for clients in various stages of litigation. The firm offers a base salary range of $120,000-$140,000 per year, plus applicable bonus, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, long-term disability, life insurance, paid time off, paid

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in California.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter with eagerness to learn.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.
• Must communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with team members and outside parties.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings and motions in active litigation files.
• Review litigation case files to determine next actions.
• Advocate for client interests at hearings and other settings.
• Utilize internal software to update account status.
• Analyze litigation inventory and ensure proper workflow.
• Comply with client and firm SOPs.
• Travel to courthouses within the branch footprint as required.
• Prepare for and represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements to protect client interests.
• Evaluate case merits and provide strategic recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with laws and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
