Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Self-motivated with eagerness to learn.
• Ability to manage a large caseload.
• Willingness to travel to various courtrooms.
• Able to operate a computer/phone and adhere to schedules.
• Read and understand position-specific documents.
• Flexibility to work a full 40-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with team members and outside parties.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings and motions for active litigation.
• Review case files to determine appropriate action.
• Advocate for clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Update and document account status in internal software.
• Analyze litigation inventory reports and ensure proper workflow.
• Comply with client and firm operating procedures.
• Travel to various courtrooms within the branch footprint as required.
• Prepare and represent clients at hearings, including case strategy and discovery.
• Negotiate settlements to resolve disputes while protecting client interests.
