Jobot seeks a Permanent Associate Attorney in Michigan with a strong background in Insurance Defense, General/ Premises/ Transportation Defense, No-fault, PIP, Civil, Real Estate, and Business Litigation.

The attorney will represent clients, draft documents, advise on rights, conduct legal research, negotiate settlements, and manage case work in a fast-paced environment. Must be JD equipped and Michigan Bar admitted.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Michigan Bar.
• Minimum 5 years of attorney experience in Insurance Defense, General Liability, Premises Liability, Transportation Defense, Trucking, Auto Negligence, MVAs, No-fault, PIP, Civil/Real Estate/Business lit.
• Excellent communication to explain complex legal issues clearly.
• Strong research and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in legal research software.
• High professionalism and ethical standards.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court or before government agencies, defending or prosecuting in civil or criminal litigation.
• Draft legal documents such as wills, deeds, patent apps, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
• Provide legal advice to clients on rights and obligations.
• Research and analyze legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.
• Negotiate settlements in civil disputes.
• Prepare briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts.
• Perform administrative and management tasks related to the practice of law.
• Communicate with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case.
• Conduct pretrial discovery and develop trial strategies.

• 4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in clear and concise language.
• 5. Strong research and report-writing skills.
• 6. Proficiency in legal research software.
• 7. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
• 8. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
