Responsibilities

• 1. Work with senior attorneys to manage aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, attending court conferences, reviewing pleadings and preparing for and going to trial.
• 2. Conduct legal research and draft complex pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
• 3. Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
• 4. Consult with clients to ascertain and address their legal needs.
• 5. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve cases favorably.
• 6. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in interactions with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• 7. Contribute to firm growth by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
• 8. Stay updated with changes in law, court decisions, and other legal matters that could impact the firm's clients.

Qualifications

• 1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, specifically in defense litigation.
• 3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• 4. Proven experience in managing a full caseload.
• 5. Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
• 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• 8. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
