Job summary

Protouch Staffing is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney for our TX office. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience and is admitted to the Texas State Bar.

This full-time, in-person role involves managing a diverse caseload, including depositions, hearings, and settlements, while coordinating with lead counsel. You will handle all phases of defense work, from investigation through trial prep, and draft legal documents as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in insurance defense
• J.D. degree required
• Admission to the Texas State Bar required
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in legal research and writing
• Work location: In person (onsite)

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire legal process from investigation to trial prep and court proceedings
• Take depositions, conduct oral arguments, attend hearings, negotiate settlements
• Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations
• Research applicable laws to develop strategies
• Examine evidence and prepare detailed reports and summaries

Job description

Our Client is a full- service law firm who strives to ensure that every client feels heard, respected, and valued as we work hard to secure them a favorable outcome. We are currently seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with litigation experience to join the team TX office. Our office hours are M-F 8-5pm, this position is onsite.The ideal candidate will have 3+ years as an Insurance Defense Attorney. You will work closely with the lead shareholder to handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters. To be successful, possessing skills and attributes necessary to work within a team, think independently, and have personal skills to interface with clients, opposing counsel and the judiciary would be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire legal process, from investigation and discovery through trial prep and court proceedings.
• Work cases through, including taking depositions, oral arguments and hearing attendance, negotiating settlements, reporting to clients, etc.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations
• Research applicable laws and findings to develop appropriate legal strategies.
• Examine video, documentary, and physical evidence.
• Take depositions and respond to discovery requests.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
• Preparation of detailed case reports and summaries

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in insurance defense
• Candidate must be able to work independently with strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize.
• Juris Doctor (J.D) degree
• Admission to the Texas State Bar
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in legal research and writing

• Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
