Job summary

Hazen Law Group LLC in Harrisburg, PA is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team and build a meaningful estate planning and elder law practice for individuals and families across Pennsylvania.

The role reports to the Supervising Attorney and is an in-office, Harrisburg-based position with a focus on estates and trusts, guardianship, and estate administration, offering mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in Pennsylvania and in current good standing.
• 3+ years of relevant experience preferred; prior experience in estates and trusts required.
• Excellent communication, analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills. Experience with Clio and/or Lackner a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of client legal matters, including advising clients and drafting documents to implement estate and trust plans; counseling clients on eligibility requirements for public benefits programs and developing strategies to achieve eligibility; and advising on and handling guardianship and estate administration matters.
• Maintain regular contact with clients, courts, government agencies, and financial institutions on legal matters.
• Develop and maintain client and professional relationships and participate in firm-wide business development and marketing initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

This is an exciting opportunity to build a meaningful estate planning and elder law practice at a recognized, client-focused firm serving individuals and families throughout Pennsylvania in the areas of estates and trusts, elder law, special needs planning, estate administration, and agricultural law.

Location: Harrisburg, PA (in-office; this is not a remote or hybrid position)
