Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an Associate Product Developer in Seattle to manage private‑label product development from concept to adoption. You will support cost negotiations, track samples, and monitor actions with guidance from the Senior Product Developer.

The role is hybrid (four days in‑office, one remote) and requires 3+ years in product development or related garment manufacturing, plus a bachelor’s degree (preferred). Flex PLM and Excel experience are valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product development, design, production, or a related role in garment manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
• Experience with Flex PLM (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (MS Office Suite).

Responsibilities

• Support the development of products that meet cost, quality and brand standards under the guidance of the Senior Product Developer.
• Create, update and maintain accurate tech packs in the PLM system.
• Communicate with global vendor base to negotiate costing, minimums, and time and action tracking, etc. throughout the product’s life cycle.
• Track product development milestones and calendar deliverables (prototypes, color, sample yardage, testing, etc.).
• Place developed and adopted styles in alignment with the Sourcing Strategy.
• Review garment and fabric test results and elevate issues as needed.
• Attend weekly cross functional meetings to discuss open/pending issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Description NOTE: This position is located at Nordstrom's downtown Seattle headquarters and follows a hybrid work model, with four days in the office and one remote workday each week. We don’t just sell cutting‑edge fashion and accessories — we create them. Our talented fashion design team - Nordstrom Made - develops, designs, produces, and sources all Nordstrom‑brand products. From traditional to trendy, this team shapes the styles and looks our customers love. And now, we have an exciting opportunity to join this team. The Associate Product Developer is responsible for managing the development of private‑label products within their assigned category. With the support of the Senior Product Developer, you will own product development including cost negotiations, sample tracking and review, time and actions from concept through adoption. This role is ideal for someone who has foundational product development skills while gaining additional experience and confidence.

Pay Range Details The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Seattle, WA: $69,000 - $110,500 annually
