Nordstrom Inc. is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead engineers building and operating devices and platforms used by Nordstrom employees daily.

Hybrid in Seattle, you will own endpoint/mobile platforms and service management, driving vulnerability remediation, incident response, and platform migrations with cross-functional partners. Qualifikationen

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in systems, platform engineering, or end-user computing, including 5+ years leading and developing teams.
• Deep experience managing fleets across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, with hands-on knowledge of Intune and Configuration Manager.
• Experience with ruggedized or purpose-built devices and firmware update management.
• Experience owning and operating business-critical systems, including incident response and RCA.
• Experience running vulnerability remediation, patching, and audit or compliance programs.
• Experience with ServiceNow for incident, problem, change, and asset management.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure, and identity platforms.
• A record of leading large cross-functional projects and platform migrations.
• A record of continuous improvement, including defining and quantifying KPIs.
• Experience managing budgets, licensing, and vendor relationships.
• A plus: Azure Virtual Desktop, enterprise collaboration platforms, Atlassian administration, and AI productivity tooling.

• Manage budget, licensing, vendor renewals, and cost reduction using spend data to inform renewals.
• Hire, coach, and develop engineers using Nordstrom Competencies and Tech Talent Framework; provide context to show impact of their work.

Job Description Productivity & Collaboration, part of the Employee Experience organization, seeks a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead the engineers who build, secure, and operate the devices and platforms Nordstrom employees depend on every day. Your team's own endpoint and mobile management across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, virtual desktop, and ruggedized store and supply chain handhelds, along with the service management and collaboration platforms that support them. You will be accountable for reliable fleets, findings closed on time, and predictable delivery. This role is offered as hybrid in Seattle, WA. Candidates must be available to work in office at the Nordstrom corporate headquarters a minimum of 4 days/week to be considered for this position.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Own the roadmap for endpoint and mobile platforms, including Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, OS and application lifecycle, hardware refresh, and virtual desktop.
• Lead the engineering framework for store and supply chain handheld fleets, including vendor evaluation, pilots, enrollment, and firmware updates.
• Own the roadmap for service management and collaboration platforms, including ServiceNow, Atlassian, Microsoft 365, and Slack, and use scripting, APIs, and automation to remove manual work and shorten feedback loops.
• Drive vulnerability remediation, patching, and audit readiness across endpoints and servers, with clear ownership of each finding through closure.
• Lead incident response for platform outages, owning root cause analysis and the follow-through that keeps failures from repeating.
• Partner with Network Security, Store Hardware Platforms, Supply Chain, Program, Product, and business teams to set ownership and decision rights, change governance, and OKRs, and keep leadership informed on priorities, risks, and outcomes.
• Manage budget, licensing, vendor renewals, and cost reduction, using spend and usage data to inform every renewal decision.
• Hire, coach, and develop engineers using their interests, Nordstrom Competencies, and the Tech Talent Framework, and give the team the context to see why its work matters.

YOU OWN THIS IF YOU HAVE

• A BA/BS in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Pay Range Details

$191,000.00 - $297,000.00 Annual
