Groundswell is seeking an engineer who turns incomplete business needs into working software. This hands-on, client-facing role requires collaborating with stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver production-ready AI-enabled solutions.

You will work across client delivery, internal product development, and rapid proofs of concept, balancing AI components with practical, usable features for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent demonstrated ability.
• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience building apps with LLMs, including prompt engineering, retrieval augmentation, structured extraction, and/or tool use.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities with APIs, data handling, and user-facing functionality.

Responsibilities

• Take defined technical approaches and translate them into production‑quality functionality.
• Participate in requirements discussions with business stakeholders to understand workflow and outcomes.
• Contribute to solution design, identifying simplifications or AI reductions when appropriate.
• Build complete applications that integrate AI capabilities with prompts, retrieval design, APIs, and UX.
