Job summary

Pearlz Oyster & Raw Bar in Columbia's Vista District, part of Homegrown Hospitality Group, seeks an energetic restaurant leader to manage daily operations across Pearlz, the upstairs lounge and adjacent Kaminsky's Café. You will coach and develop managers and staff, uphold hospitality standards and drive guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, team leadership and community engagement within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of restaurant management experience in a high‑volume, full‑service setting.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop people.
• Strong financial and operational leadership including labor management and cost controls.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Collaborative leader who values hospitality, accountability and teamwork.
• Remain calm, organized and positive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

• Partner with the GM to lead daily operations for Pearlz Oyster & Raw Bar and the upstairs lounge.
• Coach, develop and inspire management and hourly team members.

What You'll Do

Partner with the General Manager to lead daily operations for Pearlz Oyster & Raw Bar, the upstairs lounge and support the adjoining Kaminsky's Dessert Café.

Coach, develop and inspire both management and hourly team members.

Foster a culture built on hospitality, accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Deliver exceptional guest experiences through visible, hands‑on leadership.

Help drive sales, profitability, labor performance and operational excellence.

Recruit, hire, train and develop future Homegrown Hospitality Group leaders.

Lead confidently during Gamecock football weekends, festivals, concerts and other high‑volume events.

Build relationships throughout the Columbia community while representing both Pearlz and Homegrown Hospitality Group.

What We're Looking For

Two or more years of restaurant management experience in a high‑volume, full‑service restaurant.

A passion for coaching, mentoring and developing people.

Strong financial and operational leadership, including labor management and cost controls.

Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.

A collaborative leader who leads with humility, accountability and a genuine passion for hospitality.

The ability to stay calm, organized and positive in a fast‑paced environment.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as business demands.

Salary: $62,000–$68,000 annually, based on experience
