Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) assist seniors who are functionally, physically, and/or socially impaired in the Assisted Living area. The PCA’s role is to assist residents with activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without help, fostering residents’ independence and freedom of choice.
Good human relation skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; good communication skills; appreciation of the heritage, values, and wisdom of seniors; ability to relate well with seniors and their family members; understanding of written and verbal instructions; ability to manage time and complete tasks according to schedule; good judgement; reliable work ethic; good attendance and punctuality; maintains a neat appearance.
This position requires extensive standing, walking, and the ability to lift and transfer residents with assistance.
