Purpose
Under the direction of the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager on duty, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer service by offering a clean, safe, and friendly store environment.
Position Responsibilities
Primary
- Customer Service and Satisfaction: Assist customers with payment systems, machine selection and operation, retail purchases, and wash/dry/fold orders; handle customer questions/concerns and report to management as needed. Maintain a neat appearance and wear the appropriate uniform.
- Store Safety and Security: Ensure a safe environment inside and outside the store by following security procedures and prioritizing safety for employees and customers.
- Store Cleanliness and Upkeep: Keep the store clean at all times, following proper cleaning routines and documenting completion.
- Building and Equipment Maintenance: Report maintenance issues appropriately and escalate unsafe situations to management.
- Retail: Maintain attractive visual presentation of retail products, understand and educate customers about products, process sales accurately, and encourage additional purchases.
- Wash/Dry/Fold: Provide quality service by selecting appropriate equipment, completing orders carefully, and addressing customer concerns promptly. Report claims immediately to management.
- Policies and Procedures: Follow all company policies and procedures at all times.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Experience
- Knowledge of commercial laundry products and payment systems is a plus but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with diverse individuals.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Quickly build strong customer relationships.
- Basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for long periods, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, and lifting are required.
