What does the Health Services Director do?

The Health Services Director oversees the health services department of our assisted living community, ensuring resident care needs are met through assessments, care plan development, coordination, management of health service systems, and supervision and training of team members.

Daily responsibilities of the Health Services Director:

1. Develop a resident-centered approach to care, respecting residents' rights and dignity.
2. Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans, managing care proactively.
3. Evaluate residents with health changes and coordinate care accordingly.
4. Assist with move-in assessments, considering resident needs and staffing levels.
5. Coordinate with professionals and oversee ancillary services to meet care needs.
6. Communicate with families and provide education and support.
7. Supervise and train health services team, delegating tasks as permitted by law.

Qualifications:

Current, unencumbered LPN/LVN or RN license (RN preferred). Experience in geriatric nursing, medication management, case management, staff development, budgets, and team management. An Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.

Career advancement opportunities:
