Work Location: This is remote, in Texas. The manager prefers candidates near Austin or San Antonio, but is open to Dallas/Fort Worth. Candidates in NM are also considered if necessary.

The position involves 100% clinical queue work staffed exclusively by behavioral health clinicians. They make clinical decisions to approve treatment requests or send cases for peer review. Clinicians handle incoming provider calls for authorization and assist members in crisis situations routed to the queue.
Job Summary:
Responsible for accurate and timely clinical review of behavioral health cases for medical necessity, including assisting members via telephone, reviewing medical records, and interpreting behavioral health diagnoses against medical necessity criteria across various levels of care.
