Job summary

Green Hills in Ames, IA is seeking a hospitality-minded Resident Aide to support personal care, medication administration under RN/LPN direction, and daily living activities for residents. Starting wage is $19.00 per hour with additional compensation for experience. Requires CNA licensure and Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry, with pre-employment checks and ongoing training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Document nursing care after assisting a resident per standards.
• Report changes in resident condition to RN/LPN on duty.
• Perform and chart ADLs as per care plan.
• Administer medications under RN/LPN direction.
• Treat residents with respect and individuality.
• Assist with nutrition and hydration and dining support.

Shifts Available: Please indicate in the prescreening questions whether you are seeking full-time or part-time employment and which shift(s) you are available to work. All positions will work every other weekend.

DAYS: 6:00AM - 2:00PM

EVENINGS: 2:00PM - 10:00PM

OVERNIGHTS: 10:00pm-6:00am

Starting Wage:$19.00/hr. Additional compensation for experience.

Green Hills is actively looking for a hospitality-minded Resident Aide, to join our growing team! Resident Aides assist with the personal care of tenants/residents and administration of medications under the delegation of a registered nurse; provides care as assigned by the charge nurse and does appropriate documentation on each tenant/resident to create a flow of continuing care; follows safety procedures and keeps the charge nurse informed of all relevant resident information through close observation.

• Treat each resident as an individual and address them respectfully.
• Assist residents with nutrition and hydration, monitoring food and fluid intake as well as physically assisting with dining as needed.
• Ensure resident rooms are kept clean and organized.

• Are 18 years old for eligibility to complete the Medication Manager course within 30 days of hire.
• Have obtained your CNA licensure, according to Department of Inspections and Appeals guidelines.

• Can assist residents in case of an emergency, including during evacuation procedures.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

CNAs working in Assisted Living, are referred to as Resident Aides. They assist residents with daily activities, such as bathing, grooming, personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and medication management. They also provide assistance with laundry, housekeeping, and more.
