Job summary

Green Hills Health Care Center in Ames, IA is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our hospitality-minded team. CNAs care for residents under RN/LPN supervision, document care, and support safety and dignity in daily duties.

This full-time role offers 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts with starting wages of $20.00-$21.00 per hour and $2.00 shift differential for evenings/overnights. We promote growth through benefits and a person-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Have obtained CNA licensure or will obtain it per guidelines.
• Maintain a valid Direct Care Worker Registry registration.
• Able to assist residents in emergencies and evacuations.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document nursing care after assisting a resident, per standards.
• Timely report any changes in resident condition to the RN/LPN on duty.
• Perform and chart ADLs following each resident’s care plan.
• Treat each resident with respect and individualized attention.
• Assist residents with nutrition and hydration, including dining support.
• Keep resident rooms clean and organized.
• Uphold the Person-Directed Care philosophy.

Shifts Available: Please indicate in the prescreening questions whether you are seeking full-time or part-time employment and which shift(s) you are available to work.

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (days)

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (evenings)

3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM (overnights)

Starting Wage:$20.00-$21.00/hour

Differentials: $2.00/hour differential for working between 6:00pm - 6:00am

CNA's perform appropriate charting on each resident to maintain a continuum of care as well as follow safety procedures and inform the charge nurse of all relevant resident information.
