Job summary

Green Hills Health Care Center in Ames, IA seeks a hospitable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team. You will support residents under RN/LPN supervision, perform nursing charting, assist with ADLs, and help residents with nutrition and mobility in a warm, respectful environment.

We offer shift options (1st, 2nd, 3rd) with a $2 night differential. Starting wages range from $20.00 to $21.00 per hour, with potential for growth as you develop your caring, community-focused skills.

Qualifications

• CNA licensure required.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to document nursing care accurately.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document nursing care after assisting a resident, in accordance with community and regulatory standards.
• Timely report any changes in resident condition to the RN/LPN on duty.
• Perform and chart Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in accordance with each resident’s nursing care plan.
• Assist residents with nutrition and hydration, monitoring food and fluid intake as well as physically assisting with dining as needed.
• Ensure resident rooms are kept clean and organized.
• Exhibit the highest degree of commitment to Person-Directed Care philosophy.

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (days)


• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (evenings)


• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM (overnights)

Starting Wage:

$20.00-$21.00/hour

Differentials:

$2.00/hour differential for working between 6:00pm - 6:00am

Green Hills is actively looking for a hospitality-minded Certified Nurse Aides (CNA), to join our growing team! CNA's provide care to our residents under the direction of the RN or LPN on duty. CNA's perform appropriate charting on each resident to maintain a continuum of care as well as follow safety procedures and inform the charge nurse of all relevant resident information. Green Hills Health Care Center offers long-term care and Medicare-certified skilled nursing, as well as professional Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Aqua Therapy on an inpatient and outpatient short-term basis.
