Job summary

The University of Bridgeport is seeking a dedicated coach to recruit, train and mentor members of the women’s wrestling team, aligning with the athletic department’s goals. You will work closely with the head coach to promote athletic excellence and academic achievement.

Ideal candidates will have collegiate coaching experience, a valid CPR/AED certification, and a commitment to NCAA guidelines. The role requires weekday, evening and weekend availability and may involve fundraising and travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
CPR/AED certification; coaching experience preferred.
Coaching and/or participation at collegiate level preferred; ability to teach wrestling skills.

Responsibilities

Represent the University of Bridgeport and the Athletic Department with integrity.
Promote and support the University and its mission.
Assist with all aspects of the wrestling program including recruiting.
Provide leadership in program implementation and operation.
Perform duties as assigned by head coach and Athletic Director.
